Commercial painting for Lancaster County buildings

Facades, lettering, trim and porches for hotels, halls and investment properties, scheduled so the building keeps working.

What wears first on a business building

The front of a building is what customers, guests and members see before they say a word to anyone. Faded lettering, peeling trim at the entrance, a porch with bare rails: wear in those places reads as neglect, even when everything inside is in good shape.

The Ephrata VFW had exactly that on the lettering across the front of their building. They called Dan Messimer's crew to restore the VFW letters, and the Ephrata VFW wrote that they “look like brand new!!”

How the crew works around an open building

A commercial job has to fit around a working building. Dan walks the property in person, free of charge, and agrees the schedule around your hours and your people before the work starts. At the Parkview Hotel the crew's van and ladders sat out front against a two-storey porch while the repaint went on, with a red job banner on the porch.

Daily habits matter as much as the paint. The Ephrata VFW noted the crew was on time and “cleaned up after themselves every day”. Lethea Myers, a Realtor, wrote that “those are all the things that are important to me as a Realtor representing my clients”, after Dan finished her project through heat and rain with the deadline met.

Lettering, investment properties and when to call again

Lettering and trim last when the old surface is dealt with properly. The Ephrata VFW reported the crew “sanded everything down to ensure the next 2 coats of paint would remain in tack for the next 7-10 years”. They also wrote that they have “other exterior projects that need done and we will be calling them back this summer”.

Paul Barone has known Dan for 20 years and has had him paint both his home and an investment property. He calls Dan “very good at suggesting ideas to make project better and more cost efficient”.
